I'm a graphic designer and Illustrator, born and raised in the Philippines, and I moved stateside when I was twelve. I was always a fan of comics growing up, some huge influences include, Todd Mcfarlane, Jim Lee, John Bryne, Bernie Wrightson, Art Adams, just to name a few. I remember the first bit of artistic inspiration I had was a Grimm's fairy tale book that I would look and read through when I was about 5 or 6. It was dark, but enticing, and I couldn't stop looking at it. I think that's where my love of macabre imagery really comes from. I love the dark, the gritty, and not so perfect in my personal pieces. Commercially though, it's relatively clean and quite symmetrically. Occasionally the commercial work and personal work collide, and create something I enjoy much more than a "plug and play" formulaic design.
